Cybathlon

HDL actively participates in Cybathlon, a premier international competition that evaluates assistive technologies through real-world functional tasks. This platform allows us to translate theoretical research into practical, robust systems and validate their performance outside the laboratory. Recognizing that successful assistive technology relies on seamless human-machine integration, we focus on the synergy between the user and the device. By combining control theory, human physiology, and real-time feedback systems, we design user-centered assistive devices and control strategies that significantly enhance mobility for individuals with neurological and musculoskeletal limitations.
